Favorite Thing #6 I think I'm one of like two people that love Arizona in the summer. I love the bright sunshine and the struggle of the plant life to survive in overwhelming and oppressive heat. I love the oppressive heat. I love the feel of the sun baking into my skin and heating it. I'm always cold because of poor circulation so it's lovely to ( Read more... )

Danke! I have the teeniest backyard and "dirt" here is more sand with a little bit of something less sandy mixed in so not very good for plants. Plus, we have caliche, which is this extremely hard layer of calcium that can be anywhere from like 6 inches down to a few feet so gardening down here requires amending the soil. I'm in a rental so I'm not amending their soil, I'm too lazy thus, containers for everyone! In the fall, I'm going to put in eggplant and some other things ( ... )

Thanks! I thought I was quite witty, myself :P The whole "Pepper Potts" and "Tony Stark" names made me laugh until I had tears.

It's so WEIRD having free time but I'm really liking it. I started watching a few tv shows and I haven't done that in a good like 10 years.

I am fine, thank you. Not all that involved with [any] fandom this year. Trying to keep interested. Going to Seattle for Lubricus, what about you?

I can't imagine working twice as much as I do now. Guh, when did you sleep?! It's good to hear you're doing better now. And, your garden is lovely!

I didn't, which is probably why I was so rundown and bitchtacular :D

I love my garden so much. It goes a bit further than what you see in the photo but not by much. There's also this TEENY dirt patch for the dogs to use as a loo. I'd love a bigger yard but I'll take what I can get right now. The other place that was in my price range didn't have windows that opened and no air conditioning but it had three times as much yard. I'll take AC and windows.
