Rant

Rant ahead.

I love Warrior's Cross by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux. I really really do. I love it so much that it is one of the few m/m books I go back and re-read. Often.

However, I don't know that I can read it again after I noticed something in my most recent re-read. ( spoilerish discussion that includes discussion of puppies and puppy habits )

resolution, resolution: book, rant, m/m

Isn't it sad what takes you out of a book or movie? Small logical fallacies can ruin a lot.

*cuddles fictional puppies* *scrunches nose at the icky fictional poo smell*

I agree. It's the small things that show a lack of knowledge/research on a topic. I get super irritated at airline/airplane/airport/etc. fuck-ups. Not only at the authors, but also at the editors. I read cheapy romance novels-- you know, those crappy trash ones. Yes, I do, sometimes. Not a lot, but they're nice in the bathtub or on a lazy night in. I don't expect quality literature from these, but I read one once that said something about the "The Boeing Airbus landed smoothly on the runway ..." And I literally threw the book across the room. Hurled it. And refused to read anymore. I mean, Boeing and Airbus are the two largest commercial aircraft manufacturers in the WORLD. They're competitors. You can't have a Boeing Airbus ... just ARJGAOEIHJAGLKDSJLK!

We're always touchy on the things that we care about. Yours is probably more beneficial to society than mine, but so is life. *hugs tightly*

Also, stop by this post and request a holiday ( ... )

I'm so there with you. My sister has a dog with some pretty serious abandonment issues from her previous owner leaving her alone for 12+ hrs a day, so that passage made me cringe in a big way. Leaving puppies alone for DAYS?!? WTF!
