Desire Beyond Death - It's an all right collection of short stories but, honestly, I'd have to give it a 4 out of 10 overall but that's mainly cause there's one good story (a 9 out of 10), one 7 out of 10, two 6 out of 10s and one -abillion out of 10. Thank you for the reviews :-) I'd actually like to read Tigers and Devils, but I'm pretty ignorant about ebooks and buying stuff off the internet. I'm not sure there's anyway of asking this without sounding like a moron, but... does the publisher actually physically post you anything?

The website for dreamspinnerpress is a bit weird to navigate. BUT - here goes. Once you click the above link, pick your style of book (I use adobe/.pdf cause I don't have an ereader). Then after purchasing the book, you'll get an email in a few minutes with a downloadable link. Dreamspinner only gives you the link for a week (samhain and some of the others give you forever). So you just download the file and voila! There it is!

It's totally addictive and, honestly, I have to keep reminding myself that I'm buying something because it totes reads like fic sometimes and I keep wanting to go back for more and just get them all. That's when I end up with shit like Desire Beyond Death and Realms of Fantasy.

I just finished Tigers and Devils -- I clicked on the link from your post this weekend (but didn't read your rec, only the numbers) and have been totally drawn into it. It's been lovely to read when I find an hour or two and finally did a whole bunch of work in a rush tonight so I could sit down to finish it. I think I'm going to try a few more from the same publisher -- probably starting with one of your other recommendations.

oh man. That story is so good!!!! If you want an excellent sports, go for caught running. Otherwise go for soft romance with lots of emotional connection with note in the margins. That publisher is really hit or miss for me.
