I couldn't agree with you more about the pet food recalls! And donating tainted food and then making a fuss when it gets turned down????? What is WRONG with people????? That is so very not okay! >:/ I hope the rest of your animals are okay.

Yeah, people really really suck. And we're now really watching for kidney failure and injecting fluids. Our "SCU" (second chance unit) is overwhelmed with animals right now, unfortunately.

But, the public has been fairly generous as well, once they heard about how low we are in food and how people are trying to donate the tainted stuff.

One guy, today, got the response about animal endangerment being a crime and was he sure he wanted to donate this. He gathered his shit and left and got hit up by the newscrew outside. It was brilliant.

How the heck are you, btw?

I can't believe how low people will really go sometimes. Yay for the newscrew, though! That's quite marvellous! :D That asshole.

I'm pretty good, thanks! :D How are you doing these days, this aside? My whole life is pretty much up in the air. It's kind of weird, but sort of exciting, too. :)

I'm tearing up about the whole pet food thing, dude. What.the.fuck. Anyone who knowingly donates infected food to the shelter should be prosecuted for animal endangerment. There's no excuse for that, at all. I'm almost shaking I'm so angry.

Those realtors are lower than low. I'm so sorry you got ripped off like that. The people in this world, man, sometimes I just don't know. *squish*

Yeah, it's just so depressingly awful that these people do this stuff.

Seeing your animal endangerment comment - we had one dude that got told about that and then when he went outside, there was a newscrew waiting for it. It rocked!

And yes, the realtors are assholes. We're going to attempt to break the contract tomorrow.

I guess you know how I feel about the pet food business. If they're so cavalier about the lives of creatures that can't talk - that are dependent upon us, then who says they'll have any higher regard for human life?

Hurries back to work on her SNS.... ;-)

I pruned my raspberry patch! Not that it was fun, but it needed to be done, and now it is.

I don't make raspberry jam, but my mother does. I use them on ice cream, and I make an awesome raspberry pie, and I sometimes use them as a topper for a simple white cake.

Honestly, I'm totally enraged by the Realtor thing. If I were you, I'd go talk with someone at the Better Business Bureau and get their behavior on record. YOu can't fix what happened on your Open House day, but hopefully it'll stop them from pulling something like that in the future -- because if YOU aren't going to stand for their shit, they may surmise that someone else might not either. That's about 12 shades of wrong.

And the donated animal food thing? I can't even imagine. That's just... seriously if I think about it too much there will be throwing of things.

Anyway, I want to add something lovely, because I can understand why you're upset.

Um. Seamus in a towel. Or low slung jeans. Does that help?

maybe this:

I'm sorry, did you say anything else because all I see is Seamus, I mean, Steve Sandvoss.

*rips eyes away* Yep, we filed a complaint with the BBB today. We also filed one with the national assocation of realtors and the tucson association as well.
