Well, this will be a birthday year to remember.
Thing were great on the 5th. Nice dinner with David, talks with family, presents, etc. The next morning, my sister calls. We need to talk. Uh oh. Dad is slipping further with his Alzheimer's. To the point they need to have Susan, step-mom, who I love, appointed guardian. He can no longer sign his name

My dad's sudden death in March was horrible for me, so I can imagine your pain. I feel lucky though knowing that for my dad, it was quick. Sad, very sad, for you to have to watch it slowlytaking his life. I wish I were in Texas to give you a big hug and a shoulder to cry on if needed.

As for your stepsister.... I clearly remember the car accident. Now it is a double tragedy.

So much sadness and pain. My heart goes out to you.
