Some time try making corn thusly:

Put a bag of frozen corn in a glass bowl.
Put a whole stick of butter on top.
Sprinkle liberally with sage.

Microwave for about 8 minutes.

Yeah, when I was a kid, the butter in our house always had a semi-circular divot in it, in the summer!

Our trick with the corn on the cob was to butter the hell out of a piece of bread and then wrap the bread around the cob and spin it.

And then you have a piece of bread soaked in melted butter, which is never bad.
