My dear Woofer....

Don't forget that there are several of us "churchies" here on LJ that do not drink the Kool-Aid and serve in denominations/churches that are leading the fight. :)

Hey Woofer we share your frustrations. Our marriage laws are not State but Federal here and there is no hope in the immediate future of anything changing in our favour. A couple months after Bush started his crusade, our fuck-wit Prime Minister at the time stated "marriage = 1 man and 1 woman", it went through parliament in a few days and yes there's a bad smell of organised religion behind it.

I was never in the army but it feels like we are today and I like the advice you were given.

They must be treated with what they know best. Exquisite fucking violence. Sure, take away their tax exemptions. Those exemptions are wholly undeserved when they meddle in the affairs of government. That is not enough. Bomb the fuck out of them. The rats that escape the bombings shall become Lion Chow®. Too bad we don't get many door to door bible bangers on this street. I'd dearly love to put the protective power of their fucking magic underwear to the test by administering a vigorous beating with a softball bat. If your part of the church you're part of the problem.

Sure sounds like we really have separation of church and state don't we? Voters should never be able to vote on civil rights issues, we need legislators who have to be brave enough to bring up the legislation.

My goal for a number of years has been to move to Maine. This saddens me terribly. I've wanted to cry all day. Looks like my partner and I will look to Vermont instead.
