You can't be serious! No, that's Jimbo...i'm on the right. i actually straightened my hair back then. It was the 80s, after all. Besides, you can see my gap teeth!!

Also, if you look closely, you'll see a rainbow band around the arm of my shirt...talk about subconsciously knowing, eh?

Wow, after reading this I'm now back in 1985, sitting in the dark in my room listing to the latest Simple Minds album, wondering if Jimmy noticed the way i brushed up against him in gym class today. Wondering if he figured out who bought him that Hot Lunch today. and most of all would he ever know how much i loved him.

I'm really enjoying all of your posts. It takes a lot to be this open about your life. I have to echo a lot of what has been said. I had that first crush myself in college. Best friends at the time. We've lost contact but your story reminded me so much of my experience. Oh and I too saw my Jr. HS football coach naked many a time in the locker. Sounds like the same guy..ha!

Random comments. 1) Your buddy, Jim, has pretty furry arms. Coincidence? I think not. 2) Military softball is dangerous. I played for our team in Rota. I played catcher. While blocking the plate, some ass tried to take me out from third. I ended up with a four-inch internal blood clot in my shin. He ended up with 3 pins in his right knee. Most importantly from my office's perspective, I tagged him out. 3) When you were lonely and frustrated in Germany, I was feeling the same in Spain. I had a similar unrequited crush. I guess it's a common gay military problem.

I just love reading this schtuff! I like the gap in your teeth and I'm glad you are a happy woofer now....I really like what you said though about your heart can only be broken if you allow it to be broken. Not alot of people think that way.
