I was recently in Paris 2 weeks ago and that seems to be the main location for the Smart Car. As you "NEED" a tiny car or you will never find a place to park.
They're in pretty much every major city in Europe. The perfect city car. Of course, their streets are narrower than ours since they were designed before cars were invented.
Good choice, as these cars will have Mitsubishi engines and transmissions in them, and not Mercedes engines and tranmissions, I think you both made a good choice. A real smart car from Germany will run you 25K here in Portland, and thats not a cabrio either.

The Mitsu' drivetrains will actually be more powerful than the Merc' ones. We ran into a grey-market dealer a couple of weeks ago and it was a bit tight side-to-side. Now is just not the right time for us.
These small cars sounds nice & maybe easy to park but after hearing the recent accidents of two fellow LJer's, I don't know if I want to drive a minicoop with a bunch of people that drive like a bat of hell. If you know what I mean? I guess that's why I'm not in a hurry to get my driver's license. Thank goodness for CTA line. Good luck at Minneapolis Woofer & have a safe trip. Take care & Big Bear Hugs.

I like the Mini too, but it feels a little played out now.
