finding someone that likes your stuff who hopefully has a whole bunch of money.

you'd mentioned that recent art is about marketing, and really i dont see how someone can be a successful artist without being somewhat savvy with the marketing stuff..
i mean, i sell a bunch of stuff when i want to put the footwork in..art has become so much of american culture its become a commodity..and thats both really exciting and extremely sad all at the same time..

yay.

oh wait, hold that yay for a second..

i was gonna say that i really dig the look of warhol and John M Basuiblahblah and the ilk of art folks like them, but i dont think (even if i had lots and lots of loot) that id pay a lot for their work.. i mean, id just make a really big copy at kinkos and frame that if i wanted them up on my wall.. on the other hand, id totally shell out for something like a Modigliani..
i forget what i was saying..
