So the last time I wrote this, I was worried about to work and the entire visa thing expiring, and now I'm employed and now worrying about getting regularised, but that's just me, you know. It's one worry after the other. I'm grateful though and still can't believe this is all really happening.

Meanwhile, WE FINALLY SEE THE CALVARY backstory and it makes me so sad that May was such a happy, cheerful person and suddenly, sadness. I swear, SHIELD has a way of messing you up and if May isn't an example of that, I don't know who can be.

Richard Armitage! ♥ He was absolutely perfect in North and South. He is just talented in general, actually. Ever since falling in love with his performance as Thorin in The Hobbit films I've kind of been devouring everything he's been in and continuing to follow his career as it grows and grows. I can't wait to see him in Hannibal, which honestly I about freaked out when I heard he was going to on it (and I agree about Lee appearing on that show, as well). Hearing about his process in getting into character's heads, it should be very interesting how his Francis will be.

Have you checked out Richard's performance in The Crucible yet? It's phenomenal. :D

Re: Agents of Shield, I also agree about Skye. I'm happy that she finally has met her mother...but I also know that this isn't going to end well. I get the feeling that it will become picking of sides, Skye with her parents (her mother in particular) or with her family at SHIELD. And she'll be torn between her found family or the family that she had been looking for all her life, and

As for icons, here are some to get you started. It really is hard to find any icons of Richard or his roles (esp his recent ones) these days, but they're there when you least expect them. I mostly use Google to help me locate them.

I don't think she has to pick SHIELD in order for the show to continue, she can go on her own path without picking any side imho, but ultimately she will have to regardless. Because SHIELD is her found family, and while she has finally found her parents after all this time and can have help understanding things about herself especially with her powers, that formed family is something that she cannot let go because she cares about them so much. And one of the lessons I've learned while watching these kinds of things is that being biologically related doesn't make you family, which is why I'm attracted to found family stories.

Personally, I just really want SHIELD and the Inhumans to join together to defeat Hydra and for there to be an equilibrium for Skye to keep both Coulson and her family at SHIELD along with her parents.
