It seems people around me are getting engaged a lot. Not that I'm complaining. I just didn't think I was already in that age group. Sure, there were the early-engaged ones -- those straight out of college (some in college) that I thought were advanced but are still going strong. So, I thought, those must be aberrations as they were too few and far

Tell me about it. Not just engagements, but weddings and babies, and all that jazz. But I've come to accept that it will all happen in His perfect time, if that's what's best. And for someone obsessed with weddings and romance, I've never been happier(!) being single (I'd like to believe)--of course with the occasional bouts of wishing and hoping (I won't deny).

Apparently, yes, you really just know. And when you doubt it too much, or you have to try too hard--it's not it. Of course, lots of prayer helps, as with anything.

You've probably seen that famous "quote", "One day someone will walk into your life, and make you see why it never worked out with anyone else."
