Glossy Groupie: Anne Enters a New World

Aug 07, 2011 10:38

Bolder [Sweet Anne Hathaway]And another month is here and we've got lots of pretty pages to look through again. Anne was particularly gorgeous looking all classic on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. I love how they combined two things I love: Anne and London and had her pose with all the pretty London-y things. I hope her accent in the upcoming One Day is as good as the shoot.

Meanwhile, the Emma's still continue to be cover girls (they've got a lot going on) -- it was so hard to not put them up front again. And so does perennial 'bad boy' Shia for Details. Here we go with another month's worth of pretty.

Photos courtesy of Sweet Anne HathawayOn wearing couture: "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world when I get to wear all these glamorous clothes. [Off the red carpet,] I’ve become a lot more specific about what I love and why I’m doing it."
We all know how much I love her so it's fantastic she's on the cover again. Plus, the double decker bus and the phone booth and all the couture on her make me smile even larger. I wonder why there wasn't anything on the cover pertaining to her though. Or perhaps I'm just blind?

Photos courtesy of Yoon Eun Hye.netI don't know why Eun Hye did a spread for Bazaar Korea but she was gorgeous on the island of Hawaii donning skin-baring pieces to showcase the jewelry, I'm guessing they were promoting. I already miss her on my TV screen. She needs to get back soon.

Photos courtesy of Emma Watson OnlineOn being angry: My acting tutor said the hardest thing for me was to get angry. I almost broke down in tears when they tried to get me to be angry. I said, ‘I can’t do it, I just can’t do it.’

‘I keep all of that really bottled up somewhere and I feel unleashing it would be the scariest thing - and to let myself be powerful, sexy, all those things, it’s scary for me. [Even playing the bad girl in this shoot (for Perks of Being A Wallflower)] felt a bit uncomfortable and awkward, it didn’t come naturally at all
I'm absolutely in love with this good girl gone bad theme for her shoot. I'm surprisingly more in love with all the 'bad girl' shots over the white and good girl ones. I can't wait for Emma to branch out beyond Harry Potter just because I'm sure she'll do well. Here's to more.

On being bad at the game: No! I’m a terrible game player. I’m so impatient - it’s one of my worst traits! If I want to see someone, I want to see them, and if I don’t, then I don’t. My friends are always telling me I have to play hard to get because I’ll pretty much say to a guy, ‘I like you - let’s go hang out.’ But my friends are like, ‘You can’t do that! You have to string this guy along.’ And I’m just like, ‘No! I won’t! I just want to go on the date!’ It’s a nightmare - I definitely haven’t figured it out yet
In what is possibly the most wholesome shoot ever (recently that is), Emma looks all bright and cheery on the cover of Seventeen. I can see more covers in her future though this one was gorgeous with her short hair. She's definitely tempting me to cut all of mine off again. If only it didn't take so long to grow.

Photos courtesy of Emma Stone ConnectionOn keeping things private: Talking about this stuff is pretty new. The only solution I’ve come to when it comes to things like that-the health of my family or dating, really personal things-is not to talk about it.
The other Emma, and my current obsession, Emma Stone is looking positively radiant on the cover of Vanity Fair in her red striped bikini. She's just glorious. I've been watching her interviews for Crazy, Stupid, Love and I'm falling even harder. She's so easy to ship. She's awesome with Ryan and with Andrew too. Stay awesome, Emma.

And as if one movie coming out weren't enough, the upcoming The Help (which I'll be writing about soon-ish is coming out too. I'm really excited to see how this one turns out even if *SPOILER* she doesn't end up with the guy *END OF SPOILER*. So let's see if they change that for the movie.

Photos courtesy of Andrew Garfield SourceAnd because one cannot get enough of Miss Stone, she comes out in Spiderman too, which has apparently been optioned already for a second movie, despite the first one not being out yet. I hope we get Gwen Stacy too in that one, right? It would be a shame if we didn't get twice the Emma too. Though Andrew getting this sequel guaranteed makes me very very happy. Check out how ripped he is up there. I'm already getting giddy with all this Peter/Gwen loveliness.

Photos courtesy of The MockingjayAs hard as it is to resist, these first images from the boys of The Hunger Games do sort of get me excited for the film. Sure, it's no Twilight-level hype for me, but this is good. I'm good with slow burns. Still not too hot about Liam as Gale but Josh as Peeta is slowly doing it for me. I want to see an actual moving scene over photos but hey, at least we got to see them, right?

Photos courtesy of Mila Kunis OnlineOn her guilty pleasure: “I love bad TV, so if I can just stay home on a Sunday and catch up on my horrible reality shows, with my dogs and my Pinkberry, to me that’s heaven.”
Please keep being pretty, Mila. I love how this girl can be both stunning and yet so funny. I've been reading her interviews and watching her at press cons and she's just so funny. I think I'm going through a funny girl phase with Emma Stone and now Mila. Humor really is a turn on.

ELLE: As in the film, have either of your parents ever walked in on you while you were in flagrante delicto?
JT: I was caught one time. My mom wasn’t cool about it. I was too young to be in bed with a girl, so she was upset.
MK: I don’t think my parents think I’ve ever had sex
I didn't think I'd love Mila so much but lately, I've been crushing on her extra hard. It doesn't help that she's totally adorable in interviews and just really funny. Plus she and Justin are looking really pretty in this spread, I'm actually really excited to see Friends with Benefits even after having seen No Strings Attached.

ELLE: Earth to Justin… Perfect first date?
JT: Something more simple than extravagant. Scrabble.
MK: Monopoly.
JT: Scrabble’s a good date. If she can’t spell, I don’t want to hang out with her. So that’s a good test.
MK: I can’t spell at all. [To Justin] Now we’ll never be friends.
And yes, I didn't think I'd ship them, but I kind of do right now. Especially when Mila defended Justin in Russian at the press con in Moscow. It's nice to see these kids get along so much. Mila, stay awesome. You're adorable.

Photos courtesy of Shia LaBeouf DailyOn wishing he were more like George Clooney: I would like to be George Clooney diplomatic," the 25-year-old star concedes. "I just don't have the wherewithal yet or the inner serenity. My bullshit meter is tuned very sensitive. The minute it starts kicking up, I get back to truth, and sometimes that involves, you know, 'I don't want to take a picture.' And if that's the case, am I an asshole for being honest? Or am I an asshole for being dishonest, smiling in your picture and I fucking hate being there? Which one is worse? These are the questions I ask myself that George Clooney doesn't ask.
As much as everyone hates him, there is something about Shia that endears me to him. sure, I'm not all for everything he does, but reading this article made me get some insight with him and it's always important to see where one is coming from. Sure, the article could be all spin as usual, but it's nice to read why he does what he does.

On fighting back: "You weren't fighting because you were a tough guy. You were fighting because a dude comes up and punches you in the chest-so either you hit him back or not only is he going to punch you every day but all his friends are going to beat the shit out of you. You fight out of fucking survival. I still have that in me, which gets me into trouble"
And even if he has this douche-y vibe to him, I'll still remember him from Even Stevens where i thought he was the funniest, most adorable thing ever. I hope that this is either a phase or he mellows out a bit.
