When was she censored?[
Nylon Magazine]It's so difficult to find a Nylon magazine in Manila that I'll probably never get my hands on this. So seeing it online and all the outtakes makes me supremely happy even if it would have been more fantastic if it was an issue on my birth month (February).
Still, I won't complain because Kristen on the cover of anything just makes me really excited to see the photos that come along with it, and after her
Teen Vogue one late last year, this one is a pretty fantastic follow up considering I adore Nylon and their
behind the scenes footage.
Like the press tour for Twilight, Kristen just sounds like she makes a lot of sense and isn't some 18 year old kid. I can hardly believe I am 3 years older than her.
"Anywhere we’d go for Twilight was a psychotic situation. The sound was deafening, and it’s thoughtless, as well… You get a slew of all these bullshit questions like, ‘What’s it like to kiss a vampire?’ and ‘How much do you love Robert?’ Then you’ll get one that’s actually real, but you’re like, ‘No, I can’t right now, I can’t even consider [it]."
"I feel like I have nothing to say on those shows… I’m not good at the funny thing-most people are really great on those shows. I don’t have a contrived personality that [I can] just pump out [for] a five-minute segment, so I end up sitting there and looking kind of baffled. Embarrassing."
"It’s just totally false… Rob and I are good friends. We went through a lot together, so we feel very close. But if we go out in public, every little detail is scrutinized, like the way I stand next to him. And it’s like, I know this guy really fucking well [laughs]. It’s only natural that we’re sort of leaning on each other, because we’re put in the most fucking psychotic situations."
"“He’s older than me-he’s 20 now-but when you’re 13 and he’s turning 16, it was always sort of an out-of-reach thing. Then you get a little older, and you realize, ‘Oh, What the fuck am I thinking? I can have you, like, lickity...’” she snaps her fingers, laughing. “He’s awesome."
"The whole fan-dom crazy Twilight hype thing? It's all very fleeting. I think it's going to tone down, but I think it's put me in a place where it makes easier to have fun on the job. I mean, you don't have to fight to do things that you care about. Yeah Kristen, you're going to be playing Joan Jett when she was 15. Yeah I mean to be able to play a part like that. She's entirely, iconic, in a way that's cool and bad ass and meaningful. She's just cool. She's just someone I look up to."
