I need/want a better adjective than senseless, but... yeah. :)

As a quasi-reformed Surrealist, I'm kinda down with "senseless", myself. Beauty (and numinousnes and wonder and unheimlichkeit and and and) doesn't require justification, though our society tells us it does. It is its own reason. And it doesn't need to make sense to be valuable.

I stand here as a defiant instrumentalist against a tide of narrative: meaning is awesome, but it ain't everything.

Hmmm. Good point... I think maybe what I'm reacting to is the foolish/stupid connotations of "senseless". But yes, no justification necessary!
