Hi everybody! I'm sorry I've been so bad about replying to entries lately -- I'm mostly reading on my phone, which tends to dramatically cut down on my commenting. :(

And yes, things have been busy. In good ways, mostly. :)

This past weekend was particularly nice. On Friday, dulcinbradbury came down to lead a bardic workshop, which I thought was tremendously ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry I missed that Court of Love. I somehow must make Pennsic this year.

LOL, speaking as one of the "dancing girls," thanks!

But it was really very nice of Terra Serpentis to allow us to dance with them. It wasn't anything planned, we were to do a tribal improv set at the Crowne Plaza later that afternoon, and we knew that there's be no one there. So I talked with John and Sabine and got their OK. So we got to have fun and dance for an audience, LOL!

Melissa was seriously undermiked; but this is a thing every sound engineer struggles with a live band and a female singer.

So much fun! In addition to the Pennsic court, we'll almost certainly be doing another one around this same time next year... and I'd be delighted to offer crash space! :)

It was really a great set, everyone sounded really, really good! Looking forward to hearing more of Melissa's singing. Does she carry her own mike for performances? I've found some standard mikes just don't pick up the higher dynamics of the female voice very well.

Thank you!

She doesn't -- we've been going back and forth about what to do re. band equipment for a while now, but are hoping to make some purchases in the near future.
