Life is good. The three of us are doing well. I have to say, however... newborns are hard. Yeah, I know, now you're all laughing at me. This whole breastfeeding thing, though? whooooo. Not nearly as straightforward as you'd think

Oh my gosh, she is totally adorable! Not that that should be surprising, but wow! She is cute!

Oh, go ahead and write whatever details you want about the whole birth process. Just put it behind a cut for the squeamish or not-interested.

Regarding her interest in dad's biceps more than pacifiers: look out for baby hickeys. Seriously. My college roommate's daughter is really big on laying little hickeys on people's biceps. Her mom is like "...that's so WEIRD... but so CUTE! But so WEIRD."

And you'll continue to develop the "touch." Seriously, if I have something of a "touch" with 9-week-olds I've only met a day before, you will be fine. And keep in mind that we've co-evolved with babies such that their cries are perfectly tuned to wig us out. Keep repeating to yourself: it's only biology, it's only biology.

So yeah, mazel tov to all and snag naps whenever you can!
