This is enormously adorable. I love the care you take to show Mei growing up, and how leaving Amestris is about her own choices and opportunities as well as following Al. (And the Ling and Ran Fan and Jerso and Zampano cameos are awesome too. Animal instincts!)

Thank you! I always thought that although Mei was whimsical and Alboy-crazy, she was also a strong character that didn't need a guy to help her make her decisions (after all, she went out in danger's way at about nine or ten with only a panda xD). Hopefully that makes sense; I always feel like I'm not explaining things right =_='

(Even if Jerso and Zampano are probably back to normal by then... I had to throw that in there. I had to. xP)

It totally makes sense - and also pretty much matches entirely up with my thoughts on Mei. :D She is so self-motivated! I mean, she likes boys and finds romance awesome, clearly, but it definitely doesn't define her or her goals and I love that about her.

(Animal instincts are clearly something you do not lose.)

Awwww! This is adorable, and I love that Mei gets to be her own person, teenaged and full-hearted and hurt -- and that going with Al is about her own choices and future, not just his. And Xiao Mei! And Ling! And everybody! I love it.
