Seriously, every time I think I can't work up the energy to boggle anymore, LJ proves me wrong

In light of LJ's latest fuck-up (i.e., the one where they completely undermined ALL the privacy, being that people can now crosspost their comments to your LOCKED posts to their facebooks and twitters,) I thought I would note that I would appreciate it if none of you crossposted any of your comments to my entries. Of course, it goes without saying ( Read more... )

What I don't understand is why you'd want to repost your COMMENTS to FB or twitter. Entries sure.(not that I repost entries to FB, they go to twitter) I guess I am just not cool enough to want everyone to know everything about me. (FB, even though it does not have my real name attached is for Real Life. Everything else is for nerdy stuff.)

Which is to say, I shall never repost my comments to your entries.

I know, right? Why did they think that would be a useful feature to begin with?! I get posts, sure, but what on earth would anyone want to crosspost comments for?!

Aside from the horror of the privacy issues, the entire thing just strikes me as ridiculous and unnecessary. Did someone actually REQUEST this inane feature?

I actually came here to wish you a happy birthday and hope you have a wonderful day! Sorry to leave it on an entry with such a discouraging topic. I mean, if LJ/DW birthdate display didn't lie to me...

Well, as I was saying to neveth above, I can totally see people wanting to crosspost their posts, but comments? Why on earth would anyone want to do that?

Thanks! ♥ And yes, it is my birthday. Regrettably. (Although as I'm sure you've already realized, it DID lie to you about the year. XD) I cannot wrap my head around being 29 yrs old, I mean WHAT. No, that can't be right. /._.\

I am occasionally tempted to start a Facebook since everyone I work with and most of my family have them. Then I realize that it would probably attract people I don't want to and that it would be something I would have to maintain and I quickly loose interest.

Happy Birthday! :D I hit the big two nine in November and I'm trying not to think about it. I feel like I missed some numbers somewhere in the middle and I shouldn't be that old.

Haha, I have a facebook, but I don't... really... maintain it. I occasionally look at it, like, maybe once every couple of months, lol.

And thanks! GOD THIS NUMBER IS SO SCARY. WHYYYYY every year goes by faster and faster ;;

Happy belated birthday! It sucks to share a day with a LJ wank, but I hope you had a nice day regardless.

I'd noticed a lot of boxes that I hadn't seen before, and ticked the little x's on them all to make them go away. I do have a fb, which relative pressured me to get, but I've never actually used the damn thing. Don't worry about me violating your privacy. If I wanted to do it I'd have no idea how.

Did you have a good birthday?

It was acceptable! Not like I did anything, but I lazed around and Dave made chicken adobo and it was delish. :3
