I have just added everyone who is on Caerfree's friend list to my own - is there an easy way to send some kind of message to all of them at once to let them know?
Caer is in the hospital. She has lymphoma in her lung - and in her brain. The outlook is not good. They put a feeding tube in her yesterday, and tomorrow they are going to put a shunt in her brain to deliver chemotherapy drugs directly.
She is not really conscious - she will wake if disturbed, but only for moments, and doesn't really seem to be aware. She has no short-term memory. Visitors are not allowed right now - it is too much stress on her to wake up, and even if she doesn't, her immune system is so shot right now that there is a high risk of infection from being around too many people. Gifts/flowers are also not allowed in the ICU. I know everyone will be thinking about her and worried about her, but there is really nothing that can be done right now. I will monitor this journal frequently - but don't necessarily expect prompt responses. I will update if anything significant happens.
