Dying your hair is an expensive, chemically harmful process, and once you start, you can't stop. When I graduated from law school, I had it professionally dyed back to my natural color, and I've let it grow out from there. I've plucked the two gray hairs I've found. Maybe if there were lots, I'd feel differently, but I really don't recommend dying your hair. Using dye from a box always looks flat and weird (like dye from a box); going to a salon would be hundred of dollars a year.
I would recommend at least consulting with a good colorist. You don't have to use her services, necessarily, but at least hear what she has to say. She might have some suggestions for a natural looking color or low maintenance dye job.
Well, it appears that there is a variety that Light Mountain makes that covers grey, but it comes in fewer shades than their normal henna. I may just go with the normal henna, and figure that the grey hairs aren't *too* common yet.

While your shade of red was lovely, it never quite looked natural. I would suggest you get your hair highlighted. With only a few stray grey hairs, the highlighting would cover them and give you nice depth of color gradiation, which looks natural not all-the-same-color flat.
I started going grey in high school. By 18, I was using henna, by 21 I graduated to permanent color. I know, you'd never suspect it about me, but grey hair really bothers me. Does that make me vain? So be it.
The trouble with red is it is dark and takes FOREVER to grow out.

...gloves not optional.
Does it really not cover the grey ones?

FYI: The Environmental Working Group has rated a variety of cosmetics, including hair dyes, in terms of their health/env'l risks, icky/good ingredients, etc.: http://www.ewg.org/reports/skindeep2/search.php?main_cat=HAIR+CARE
