Yes - most of that cupboard is piano music and vocal scores. There's a similar amount of violin music, chamber music and organ volumes. Meanwhile, the duet stool is full of Hong Kong pop music! There should be something in all that lot to stop Gackt feeling bored ;=)
I don't know if I'd find Gackt watching me as I played piano to be motivating or unnerving! I could just imagine him berating me for getting it wrong... XD
I'm not too fussed - he's safely behind glass and I've got some great martial arts toys to distract him with!
At the re-enactors/LRP fair recently, I picked up a lacquered latex throwing star (and watched Ninja Asssassin the next day quite by accident!) which takes a bit of mastering so he can play with that whilst I make my mistakes ha ha (Er - I'd be sure not to try any of his own songs though. Ugh - I remember him shredding that impersonator...)
Yeah, he's kinda claimed ownership already! Still, it's nice to see he's comfortable.
It IS a good spot for that poster; you can't see from the photo but the room has quite a blue theme. I got that mag for my birthday so the poster has been hanging around for months, waiting for The Laminator (sorry - anything that sounds like Terminator becomes a joke!).
Spot on, Sharp Eyes! Yep, they're gourd rattles indeed. Badger's house? Um - probably more like Tenpou's! Apart from the lack of smoke and Kenren. And I have plenty of sake, of course (which Badger probably didn't).
Now you've got your personal "piano teacher" with you all the time you're playing^^ Btw, my fingers are itching to play on that grand piano of yours! Are all those books music sheets??
Hmm - I wonder what one would learn from Gackt? Probably how to play hemidemisemiquavers wearing 6kg of rings!
You're very welcome to play the piano; it's a friendly animal and always enjoys attention from visitors. I have to confess that it's slipped down the charts a bit since I bought the synthesizer.
Yes; that's probably less than half though - there are two other cupboards with violin, organ, piano duets, chamber music etc. The shelves that you can see in the photo are vocal scores and solo piano stuff. There was so more time to play before I discovered martial arts! (but the two activities are similar - eye to body co-ordination, use of weight and body mechanics in making contact, using senses other than the eyes, reaction to other people and what they are doing, awareness of rhythm etc etc)
Thanks for taking a trip over here and for leaving a comment.
Yes, that poster is cool - very relaxed and sophisticated (compared to samurai and cyborgs anyway!)
Mm. Music is a big love. Was interested in it as a career but soon realized that I was not pushy enough and would starve. Would probably have no money to buy Gackt posters either!

Ooh, are those gourd rattles I see? Your house reminds me of the Badger's house from the Wind in the Willows, filled with treasures of all sorts.
