this is my general teevee icon, which is what this post is about

I had a gigantic post half-written about all the television I've been watching, but it all boiled down to "I am watching a lot of teevees and enjoying it all! (except for The Beautiful Life, shame about the cancellation but that shit was awful.)" So, there you have it! Some shows deserve EXTRA squee, though:

YOUR DOLLHOUSE THOUGHTS ARE MY DOLLHOUSE THOUGHTS ♥ And also remind me that I really need to watch 2.01, OH MY GOD.

2.01 was great, it was the Topher and Whiskey hour! And I apologize for doubting you in my head about Ballard and Caroline. You spoke truth.

I guess I'll go icon shopping now that I have icon space! Is this the best part of having a new show? Possibly.

Topher is pretty awesome, and do is DeWitt. I kind of ship them. >_> And yes, the second half is a lot better. Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed by the premiere, but Joss has NEVER made a good premiere in his entire life, so I'm not too surprised.

I liked DeWitt a lot on Epitaph One, but she's had barely anything to do yet in these first five eps. I kinda ship Topher/crazy!Saunders, I loved their scenes in 2x01. I'd never actually thought about it but that's true about Joss and premieres, though I will forever love "City of..." for that scene when Angel jumps into the wrong car. Good times. He is generally good with finales, otoh.

And now that you reminded me you watch this show, I must stalk your journal for meta.

That one is fun too. Frankly, I think I ship Topher everyone, because he's such an adorable little weasel. The Whiskey and Topher show was where it was at in the premiere, but the rest was sadly forgettable, IMO.

LOL, very true! And I really did like the guest actress in that episode.

Weirdly, I don't often have deep thoughts about Dollhouse. Occasionally, but I guess it's all more thematic than really about the characterization or who they are. Maybe if we get more DeWitt stuff, though...

Very much. I had to stop and think to remember Echo's (sub)plot, whereas Topher and Saunders kept me glued to my screen. I frequently forget about Echo's engagements five minutes after an episode is over, not that I don't enjoy those parts of the episodes, just that the goings on at the Dollhouse are much more interesting.

Maybe if we get more DeWitt stuff, though...

I hope we get Mr. Dominic back, he has a nice rapport with her. I want to get to the episode we learn about him, but at the same time, don't, because then he'll be gone. :(

IT SUCKED, that's how. Idk, tv is a cruel business, it's completely unreasonable that they drop a show after only two episodes. But speaking as someone who wanted to like it, it really was terrible imo. It made me want to see what British tv could have done with the premise.

    Walter! Tv's best mad scientist.
