We switched from Netzero dialup to Earthlink cable internet recently.  I must say, thus far I am NOT impressed.  The Earthlink keeps popping up a dialog box everytime I move to a new website asking me if I would like to "connect" or "work offline" which is vexing me.  It's supposed to be on all the time.  Also, I seem unable to log out of anything ( Read more... )

Ooohhhh, please post about what you're learning of Islam. I haven't read the Quran, but someone I used to know was always badgering me to read it, so I would finally be convinced (as she is) that Islam is an innately violent, evil religion and those who follow it are all potential terrorists.

Yeah, she was a bit of a nut. Kinda spooky. That's why we're no longer friends.

Anyway, in all seriousness I've been wanting to read the Quran, but haven't managed to find time between all the other things I'm up to. So do share any little gems you find in there! :)

It isn't Earthlink cable doing it. Though, if you're using crappy software from them, it could do it..

DEATH TO CRAPPY SOFTWARE FROM ISP'S. THE INTERNETS DO NOT NEED SOFTWARE.

anyway. so. when you click connect, is there an "always do this" checkmark? or an "always work online" option somewhere? I'd bet good money there is XD I don't know about the logging-out thing. Sounds like a problem with your cookies.
