Ahahah Danielle the coding of this post is fantastic! :D And now to the icons:
Samantha, I LOVE the text in your second icon. It is all kinds of perfect. The lighting in your sixth icon is to die for, also! And can we just talk about ALL of your close crops, but especially #8, which works so well with the text!
Danielle, your first two sets are a showcase of marvelous lighting and cropping. Your thirteenth icon is also just really amazing? It just works so well with the theme of the set (which is already awesome!)
Janie, your textures in your first icon are so amazingly pretty! I also love how light and glowy #4 is. And then you just go to gorgeous muted colors in #5, which are so pretty as well!
Jess, how do you white. Your set gets full points from me because your icons are not washed out at all? I just love the gorgeous simplicity of #2. Also, the lighting in 1 and 4 is ace!
Thank you, m'dear! I would go with my muse having somewhat returned, because I did get these done but I also wasn't 100% happy with them so it's still a work in progress. XD I actually have kinda been wanting to make a b&w set for awhile and focus on lighting, so this gave me a good chance! And now that I have done it I can go back to colors. YAY. XD Eee I was happiest with 3 as well, I am glad that you like it too! ♥
Thanks, Samantha! I kind of went "fuck it all" this time and I suppose this is as grunge as I'll ever go. Holliday Grainger (Lucrezia Borgia) is just the most gorgeous, precious human being and the wrongness of Cesare/Lucrezia is ticking all my boxes. I was very happy with my second icon in particular, so maybe we're finally on the same page about what my best icons are! ;)
Samantha, your black and white alternate is just incredibly beautiful. I like the blue (okay, cyan) one as well, but the bw one? UGH PERFECTION? You've chosen my favourite colours to work with in your sets and they are a joy to look at.
Danielle, hell yeah! That first set is gorgeous, I love how pulled back they are. Not just the colour, but the whole feel of the icons is so serene.
Jess, how do you even? White is so difficult to work with (or at least I think so) so I'm just amazed by your set. Number 2 in particular is stunning.
Caryn, yay bw! 3 and 4 are my favourites and I love the contrast of the light clothes with the shadows around the characters. You also challenged yourself, I like that. Awesome job!
The black and white version is ten times better than the cyan version, so I am not surprised that you like that one better; I certainly do. ;D Anyway, THANK YOU. ♥
