A Battle of Battles. November 1st
We kick of the month with submissions galore. The first set of submissions will be not for one, but two icon battles. A battle of screencaps picked from participant submissions, and a battle of themes.
'Capped: A Battle of the Screencaps
'Capped aims to include the participants of Icon Appreciation Month in a screencap battle. You are welcome to submit caps that may be used in the battle. Only 6 screencaps will be chosen by the randomizer, however all participants will be welcome to take part in the battle, not just those who submitted caps. Please ensure that you cap quality is as high as possible for the fandom you wish to include. If the mods view the cap you have chosen is too low in quality unfortunately you will be asked to pick another. This ensures that the caps are as easy to work with as possible for participants who do not belong to the fandoms. Potential participants can submit screencaps here.
'Themed: A Battle of the Themes
An interpretative battle, to contrast the screencap battle above. Each of the themes is open to any interpretation that could be made.

Icon Appreciation Month Awards: Nominations open November 1st.
In order to celebrate an amazing year in icons, icon makers & icon communities, continuting the tradition of the Icon Appreciation Month Awards. The list of nomination categories can be found here! Nominations open November 1st, so why not start hunting now?
Fonts and Textures and Screencaps, oh my! [Resource love]: November 4th
Share the love of resources in this wonderful activity. Anything and everything is welcome in this activity, so be as generous with sharing as you want!
Concave Acclaim: A curved line between concrit & praise. November 7th
This activity combines the beloved activities that have continued throughout all variations of Icon Appreciation Month, a praise meme and concrit meme. Options will include: only asking for praise, only asking for concrit, or asking for both. It's an ego stroke with room for improvement, so think about doing both, and giving both to share the icon love.
A Guide to Icon Guides: Tutorials FTW. [Tutorial Appreciation Post]: November 11th
After a year of wonderful tutorials written for various activities, come together and share the joy reading a good tutorial can provide. This is your chance to share your favourites that have been stashed away with the rest of the iconing community!
Icons Tracking System On: U-t-R Icon Maker Appreciation. November 15th
Though they may be more scarce in numbers, Under the Radar icon makers still need your support. Come and praise those who you feel don't receive it enough. Maybe someone new has popped up, maybe someone old as ventured out again. Whatever the case, if you feel they are under the radar, don't be greedy, get ready to share!
Pimp my Comm: A Community Testimonial post. November 18th
This activity provides communities with two options: pimping themselves out, or asking for feedback on what they are doing. All communities are welcome [icon communities, challenge communities, other icon-related communities] and all are welcome to ask and provide feedback.
Secrets Exposed: Paying Respect to Secrets Past. November 21st
The sordid shape of Icon Confessions Booth takes a different form this time around, and pays respect to the community that began it all: iconsecrets. If you would like to submit a visual secret, they can be posted in an anonymous reply here, any time up until the date this activity will be posted. However our booth will remain working as usual, with anonymous word only secrets allowed to flow in whenever they please.
Icon Appreciation Month Awards: 2012 Edition - Voting beings November 24th
The nominations are in, and now the voting commences for the Icon Appreciation Month Awards!
Why Can't We Be Friends? [Friending meme] November 25th
By the time we reach this activity, interaction will have been key to the months success. Maybe you've met someone along the way and found out you had way more in common than you knew, or maybe you've been holding off until now to make a friend of someone you've wanted to for a while. Whatever the case, jump on board the friending wagon and reveal a little bit of yourself to those you want to get to know!

2. All activities will be posted as close as possible to 12:00AM UCT time on the date they have been scheduled to begin.
