Geekery and work and that's about it recently

TV:
V - Not the best written show I've ever watched, but honestly, I'm just waiting for the alien baby birth scene. But it is pretty awesome watching Innara be evil.
Doctor Who: Crazy hair, sonic screwdriver, big fat liar. Yep, same guy, new face. I guess Matt Smith will do.

My most recent movie experiences:
How to Train Your Dragon - adorable ( Read more... )

Did you pay to see Clash in 3D? I hope not, cause I did and it was an utter waste. They didn't utilize it at all correctly.

Of course I did. And it might as well not have been in 3-D with how they handled it.

Pretty much. And I wasn't overly impressed with the story edits either - I mean yeah, go ahead and make it fresh, but at least stick to the traditional greek myth.

Yeah, they went way off with the mythology. I never understood why Hollywood finds the mythology lacking.

I agree on V - I loved the original series in all its geekiness. And they are doing a lot of nods in that direction. And yes, Innara being evil is awesome. (So was Wash being evil - I hope they'll bring him back as a clone or something. ;0)

Loved "How to Train Your Dragon" - it was one of the few movies where I actually felt the 3D was worth it.

Boondock Saints - great. Boondock Saints 2 - absolutely horribly bad.

I felt like they wasted Wash in V. It would be nice if they brought him back in an interesting way, but I'm not holding my breath.

I figured Boondock Saints 2 would be horrible. I mean, there's no way to follow up the awesomeness that was Boondock Saints, really, but as soon as I saw it would go straight to DVD, I knew it would be bad.

Clash of the Titans - I'd like my money back, please.

Tsks. Surely you saw the Trailers with the incredibly cheesy special effects? I think that makes buying a ticket assumption of risk... aka, you bought what you paid for.

How to Train Your Dragon - adorable.

I'll keep that in mind.

Star Trek - It never gets old, even after watching it eleven bagillion times.

That makes how many times?

The Muse: Still utterly in love with aforementioned Star Trek and letting loose the plot bunnies while we wait for the stress to clear out at work. One more week, and I think we'll start making real progress with writing.

Of course, I knew it would be bad. It's Clash of the Titans, but it made the original 70s version with the claymation monsters and whatnot look like Oscar material. AND their mythology was even worse than the original. I mean, I didn't think a remake could be worse than the already pretty bad original, but I was fantastically wrong.

I've told you I lost track of how many times I have seen Star Trek months ago. I don't know why you keep asking me. ;)
