Go Spelman!

But really, I am glad to see someone doing a story on this! Women's colleges are really underrated -- they have beautiful campuses, driven students, and really good food and financial aid :D

Where was this when I was trying to convince my parents of the value of going to a women's college and to let me go one?!

I was pleased that a woman's college cracked Forbes' Top Ten, but their methodology for the overall ranking is questionable. It was helpful of them to break out lists like this, however.

My favorite comment on the Forbes rankings, from Hobsons:

"I like to peruse them with about the same degree of amusement that I get from watching one of those E! Channel specials like 'Wildest Cop Show Moments' or 'Top 20 Hip Hop Cash Kings' while I'm folding my laundry." :)

(Oh, and Wellesley is consistently top-five in the U.S. News rankings, so women's colleges are used to being in the top ten on these things. :))

Oh, and for anyone unfamiliar with the Forbes methodology drama, here is a brief intro.

It's so nice to see Cedar Crest in 3rd place!
