My husband has a ps3 and I know that Trophies for ps3 are just Achievements for XBox 360. Like a special little medal you get for doing something in the game. They don't really have any other purpose. lol

I haven't gotten a PS3 or XBox360. I just got a Wii. At least when I can get one the games will be cheap.

Congrats on your new PS3. I love mine. I'm not in to scary games, but I've played Left for Dead 2 as a co-op with my daughter. I hear Farcry is good.

You probably already know that you can play blurays and DVDs on your PS3. If you're not happy with Netflix(I can never find what I'm looking for on Netflix) you can also get Hulu and Amazon Instant video.

I've given out my psn name here before. There's not much people can find out unless you friend them. Plus you can block people.

I play multiplayer all the time.

That's exciting! I love my PS3.

If you're into horror, I'm definitely seconding the Dead Space 1 & 2 recommendation. Also, while not technically horror, BioShock. It has some jump scares, and the atmosphere is dark and creepy - it's my favourite game, and I'm a huge horror fan.

Silent Hill: Homecoming wasn't bad; not my favourite but still a decent Silent Hill title.
