All three of those games were really popular, so therefore gamestop is going to jack up the price. My opinion is that you search online, those games will be a lot cheaper.

If u can't buy online, then I suggest you get sapphire, it was a very popular pokemon game , that many people liked. Emerald can wait, the price will go down...eventually and firered ,I don't think there was anything special about it that u should pay $30

FireRed is the remake of the original Pokémon game, while Sapphire was one of the later generations. (Emerald is essentially the same game as Sapphire, with some new game content and Pokémon variation.)

If you have never played the games before, I would go with FireRed, otherwise, I'd probably jump for Emerald. Unless you don't care about added content, then Sapphire is still a good game.

Okay then!

I'm asking because, well... My first pokemon game was PEARL. Which I've heard described later as one of the worst pokemon games, though I had a blast. And my thought is if I enjoyed a 'bad' pokemon game so much, how much more fun would one of the 'good' pokemon games be? :D

What? Who said that? I played and really enjoyed Diamond. (Sure, Platinum was prettier, but I never got as into it as I did Diamond.) I think people just like to complain... I've yet to not enjoy a Pokémon game, but I like that each is different with new Pokémon. Eh. If you enjoyed it, I'd say that makes you normal as far as I'm concerned. ;)

I still need to do the final push to the Elite 4, I left my game chilling at the entrance to the path leading to them.

No Wii here, I stick to handhelds at the moment. And I don't really know where to look to find emulators, much less the rom games ya know?

If you play with an emulator is it possible to trade/transfer your pokemon to another game?
