late night excitement (not really)

Spent some time flailing around last night trying to install a couple of games that my brother gave me a while back, but the first one wouldn't run after being installed and the second one locked up during the install when it couldn't find the now-defunct web site of the publisher. Oh, well. Wound up downloading the freeware version of Steel ( Read more... )

that 87 BG is VERY GOOD - not something that "needs to be taken care of"

who is instructing you on what you need to be doing to manage your BG?

My doctor says 90 is the bottom of the normal range for me, and when I get the shakes at 87 I tend to believe her.

very likely your body is very used to huge sugar loads, and
once you start to back that down, your body will get adjusted
to something more normal in terms of operations. 87 should
not be giving anybody the shakes. you should be able to basically
not eat for a few days and have it stabilize by its self - hard to guess
where that would be for you - for me now, that would be in the high
80's to low 90's but I have been doing tight BG control for the better
part of a year so now my bod really hates sugar levels OVER 120 or so.
But the 80's is just fine, even the high 70's is fine, if I can get it DOWN
that low. -doug

I think the cold may have something to do with my reaction to the low BG. I noticed while I was still living in MN that I'm a lot more sensitive to cold when my BG is outside the normal range, more so on the low end. We'll see how it works out.
