People are clearly tired of the regime's bullshit, are demanding an explanation, and apparently things have gotten to the point where even the Revolutionary Guards can't be relied on. Which is why Khamenei and company are using street thugs and Palestinian rentboys

If the regime falls -- and it looks increasingly likely that the regime will fall -- one of the reasons will be the regime's bringing in Palestinian goons. The Iranians are a proud people, and they consider themselves culturally superior to all Arabs -- let alone to the Arabs all the OTHER Arabs despise. I would not be surprised now if some ambitious general did not march on the capital against the regime.

If that happens, one minor benefit will be that the Iranians will assuredly have lost their taste for subsidizing Hezbullah and Hamas. The Palestinians are going to be about as popular in Iran very soon as they were in Kuwait after Desert Storm.

This may sound like an inversion of cause and effect, but consider this: the Palestinian Arabs have had a talent from the 1920's on of siding with the losers in every conflict. The Fascists in World War II, the British in the late 1940's, the Soviets in the Cold War, and the Iraqis in the Iraq Wars.

They have now sided with the Iranian religious fanatics. What does that suggest to you, by simple association?
