Surprisingly, despite having a 2 PM appointment, I managed to get out of the VA by 3 PM and avoid most of the traffic problems on 395. Leg wounds are improving; Doc Laredo had the med students smear the wounds with Medihoney gel and then wrap me up. It's very weird (though not as weird as some of his other novels) and I'm not sure what I really think of it yet.

I have read a lot of PKD. A lot of the "obscure" stuff as well as Man in the High Castle and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

Yes, Clans is weird (all Dick is weird), but there's something... more human about it than his others. Hard to explain right now - I'd have to re-read to be more specific. Maybe it's a bit more "human" because of Dick's own mental/emotional issues, and so it's not quite so distant, but that's just speculation for me right now. I didn't know about Dick's "issues" when I first read the book.
