Mar 20, 2010 08:56

Just to be subjective for a minute, if asked (and I am), which of Joss Whedon's projects to you think now has most of his interest?

Poll Which Project is Joss Whedon Most Interested It?

Yes, I think Doctor Horrible is the one he would most like to do something with.

I dont really read anything with Joss in, or take that much interest in his fandoms, except Buffy, so I am not sure how to answer this poll :-/

Wouldn't worry about it Jamie, not everyone is that much or a JW fan to want to know about everything he is/was involved in.

*hugs*

I think I read he has something in the works or at least the planning stage for Dr Horrible.

I not sure if he is all that interested in Dollhouse. He just got burned by Fox with it. Eliza had a deal with Fox and asked Joss to work with her on it. Not sure who created the premise of the show.

Yes, I think Doctor Horrible is his main interest at this time.

Well, the rumour had it that he was dining with ED, and went to the toliet when he had the idea. If true, I suspect that is where it should've stayed to be honest.

I think you need to differentiate between what he'd be interested in doing if a genie appeared and offered to magically let him do anything he wanted, with money and corporate backing no object (I suspect, a Firefly continuation) - and what he's most interested in doing here in the real world, where you have to think abut practical considerations.

In the latter case, it's a toss-up between Dr Horrible and Season 8 / Season 9, since he's actually committed to doing both.

I'd say he's slightly more interested in the comics because he's doing them purely for love and a desire to tell a story, rather than the desire to make money.

Well it was subjective speculation, so you could really make up your own constraints. My own personal view is that Doctor Horrible has his imagination just now. I think he liked the idea, and the team he put together for it. So that not only would he want to do more with the idea, but work with the team again.

With Season Eight I'm not sure it is such a labour of love for him. I think he is doing it in part as a favour to Dark Horse (who have supported him, it has to be said, with other comic titles). In a way it could've been to revive interest in the title.

My own subjective opinion is that, if all things were in place to do anything he wants, it would be Doctor Horrible.
