It made absolutely no sense to me. She would let the world be destroyed to save Dawn when the world being destroyed would kill Dawn anyway? Huh?

And I think Buffy was much stronger physically than emotionally, there are very few decisions that she made after S4 that I was 100% behind. Bring on the flames!

Oh I think she made a few good decisions in the later seasons, in the early ones she was quite influnced, mainly by Giles.

All the slayers in the series were different. Buffy was the most successful one. She was able to defeat more of the bad guys than the other slayers on the show. Buffy had a better support system than Faith, Kendra or Nikki. They were really on their own most of the time. The Council really didn't care if they lost a slayer. Another one would be called quickly if one got killed. Younger slayers were easier to control. Buffy wasn't ever under the thumb of the Council. Her family, friends and her attitude were what gave her the edge to live.

Yes, Buffy had a good support system, it was one of the strengths to her survival. Also having two vampires on her side at different times helped as well. The other slayers didn't have an Angel or Spike on their side either.
