Well they are going to annouce the actor who will play the #11th Doctor today. I suspect, even if I don't go out looking for the information, I'm going to know by the end of the day. Trying to avoid it will be like trying to avoid who would be the next James Bond, it will be everywhere ( Read more... )

I only began watching Dr Who for Tenant, so while I'm excited now to hear who's going to take over I'm really going to miss him in the role.

He has been an excellent Doctor. I started watching in the 60's, yes I am that old, but stopped during my teens and twenties.....had things to do!

i'm with you on the wanting James for anything! But i would love to see Sean Pertwee as the new Doctor - and it would be a lovely in-joke with his dad having been a former Doctor, don't you think?

Especially since, don't they limit the actors who can play him to British men? I get the impression that a non Brit Doctor would make more of a stink than a female one.

I would suspect so, then no matter who gets the role, there will be people unhappy anyway!
