A casting picspam, full of pretty

I really like those books, so I decided to work on it for the Challenge 19 @ picspammy : second chance
Let's Go !

For the second chance challenge at picspammy, I decided to cast one of my favorite series by Meg Cabot, 1-800-WHERE-R-U (aka Vanished).
The story is about a fierce, bit of a tomboy teenager, Jess Mastriani, who, after being struck by lightning,, discovers she have the power to find missing persons, just by seing their picture (and sleep^^). But, of course, being herself, Jess can’t just give out the infos, she has to do it herself, getting herself in a lot of troubles, and aventures .
I’ve especially focused this picspamm on the last book : Missing you, wich takes place a few years after the rest of the books. Also, I did much of this without re-reading the books, and I don’t remember it there is a lot of physicals details for the characters, so it’s mostly made after the « feeling » I got of the characters, if you see what I mean ^^
Ok, here we go !

Runner- Up : Ellen Page

Jess is really bad ass, quite petite and short haired. I choose America because I really like her, she’s pretty without rubbing your face with it and she’s curvy (maybe a little bit too much for the Jess from the books, but it’s my Jess, I do what I want ^^). I know her mostly from Ugly Betty, and she have the image of a nice girl : that’s why I want to see her going around punching people and causing havock . And I think she would totally be able to pull Jess’s softest and caring side, especially for her familly (and friends).

Runner-Up : Kevin Zegers

Rob is Jess’s love interest : super hot, tall (and broody ^^), with dark hairs ad blue eyes. He’s a bit older than Jess, and try to resist as hard as he can the obvious attraction between them because he’s on probation (for something stupid ^^) and that makes her jailbait. He’s a mechanic and a Grit ( in their town, the rednecks), drives a mean motorcycle, and just awesome.
I know Alex O is a bit too old for the part, but come on, the sexyness ! He fit perfectly the description, and he drives a motorcycle in real life .^^ America and him would make a cute couple, and I really see him playing the disenchanted, bad-boy-on-the-outside-great-in-the-inside guy. I admit, I want to see him on a Triumph, in his chilvalry glory.

The Mastriani family :

Joe Mastriani : owner of three restaurants, he’s a caring dad, and often the more (if not the only) down to earth one in the family. He’s quite funny, and seems sometimes a bit out of it.
He’s a good counterpart to Toni, his wife, an overprotective mom, who wants what she thinks is best for her kids. Wich often leads her to take not so good decisions and simply being annoying.
If you have seen Kyle Chandler in Friday Night Lights, you know why he’s here. He’s just perfect at playing a fatherly figure, and a husband. Thinking of it, Joe Mastriani is a lot like Coach Taylor, maybe a little less serious.
As for Christa Miller, I only know her from Cougar Town, and she’s just frikkin’ hilarious ! She would be perfect to play the almost hysteric, up tight mom.

Eldest of the family, Doug is also the most vulnerable. Schizophrenic, he’s shy and almost never leaves his bedroom. Very calm and kind, he’s Jess’s favorite brother. Jess’s power and fuss around it is really affecting him, and triggers his mental illness.
I first tought of Bryan Greenberg to play Michael, but I would like to seem him out of his comfort zone, playing paranoia and depression.

Mike is the second brother, nice and a bit geeky, but annoying for Jess. He’s very smart, and kinda protective of his little sister, even if he’s not very beefy
Jamie Bell was supposed to be Doug at first, but it wasn’t working age-wise. I haven’t see him on my screen for quite a time, and it would be cool to see him in a fun part.

The Friends & relatives :

Jess’s best friend. She sometimes knows her better than herself. Very smart, she can be bitchy, and more generally, akward. She used to be quite chubby and full of prejudices, but she’s getting better. She’s not indiferent to Mike.
Carey Mulligan could totally play the bicthy Townie, and it would be a good change for her to play in a nowaday story

Ruth’s twin brother. Nerdy, he’s the « safe guy » for Jess : in love with her, mother-approuved (he’s going to earn a lot of money one day) and not very threatning.
Another hilarious one from Cougar Town ! Kinda cute in his own way, I think there is a little bit of look alike between him and Carey Mulligan.

Tasha is the shy, smart girl next door. Her all star brother was murdered (Jess feels guilty about it because she wasn’t able to prevent it), but she goes on fiercely with her life. She become Doug’s girlfriend, wich is really good for him.
I know Amber Stevens from Greek, in wich she plays pretty the opposite of Tasha. I would love to see her pull it off. And she’s so pretty ! ^^

Owner of the biker pub in town, he’s pretty much Rob’s best friend, grumphy but always reliable.
I love Benrubi, he just have this teddy bear vibe that make you want to sit at his bar and tell him all about your problems.

Rob’s half-sister. He didn’t know about her before she got in touch with him. At first, they get along very well, but she quickly a source of problem as she runs away .
Kaya kind of look like Alex O, (but the character is supposed to have rainbow colored hairs), but I choose her because I would like to see her in a more lively and fun role than Effy.

The Bad Guys and the not-so-bad ones :

The 2 FBI agents supposed to handle Jess. Needless to say, she don’t make it easy for them. They struggle, poor things. They’re quite mysterious, and it’s very clear it’s not the kind of mission they’re used to. Even if Johnson is apparently married, Jess totally ships them (not very discretely).
Well, as a good fangirl, I HAVE to put Kevin McKidd in it somewhere, and even more if he have to suit-up ! As for SMG she’s too great to be so absent from our screens, and I think they’re pretty cute together ^^

Krantz is Smith and Johnson superior, who take over the « mission » when it became obvious they can’t manage Jess. He’s quite scary and creepy at first, but he’s a bit better after a while.
Do I really have to clarify this one ? It’s Alan Rickman !

They’re like, the big bad guys in this book, but Jess totally owns them. In the end, they’re losers, but in the meantime, they manage to be quite creepy .

PS: Please excuse my mistakes, it's getting late ^^
