And My Response~wolvenblackJune 5 2005, 00:55:45 UTC
Unfortunately, people often confuse that whole taxidermy bit as being horrible, when actually it is the hunters, not the taxidermists or the taxidermied. I am completely against hunting except for the bases of needs (i.e. starving to death). All of the items I have I've either inherited (the coats are both almost a hundred years old), or are old and were taken in reasons I find justified to be preserved. The coyote was hit by a car seven years ago. The deer antlers are from Germany and are over fifty years old, I believe populations were up, and food rations were down. The goat was a pet that died, as was the chick, the whole skins were seized from furriers and put down, the companies have since shut down at least fifteen years ago, the shark died in a zoo, the faces came from animals that died from humans who drive cars, and the skulls came from animals that were either hit by cars, or died naturally, and were found and cleaned by a school professor

*note I meant, So I don't try to provoke hate,. The second sentence I left out was that the species preserved were done so in few numbers, and species are often wiped out by means other than hunting, these days. Thousands upon thousands are killed by cars, pollution, poisions from non organic food, domestic animals, construction, and encroachment by new development.
