I'm done with my brother and the bitch he married

I'm through with the both of them. We had a family picture scheduled this past Sunday because neither Browns, nor the Steelers were playing that day so it was the one free Sunday the whole family could get together this fall.  Some of you may remember the crap that my brother and the thing he married have pulled over the past few years, and if not ( Read more... )

Yes but it was less obvious because the first wife liked the family, especially his parents. After they got home they called his parents and bitched about how they were treated. Of course his parents are too kind to mention how rude she was toward Mom. Ruth was fawning over her grandson and said "you're about to have a birthday!" or some such thing and the bitch's reply was "yes, do you have any trips planned during his party?" (Last year they took the trip of a lifetime down the coast of South America. The trip can only be done at that time because of hurricane and typhoon season, so they missed the baby's first birthday party. They still gave him a gift and tried to see him as soon as they got back but were always told the family was busy and not to come over.)

Wow, that's a lot of grandchildren. That is really too bad about your brother and his wife. Sounds like you're talking about John's brother and his wife. His family refers to her as the "anti-christ". There's 6 grandchildren in our family on John's side. Only 4 on my side. Jessica is the oldest (18), Becky (16), Michael (15),Jonathan (13), Will (13: 4 days older than Jonathan), Sam (11), Kyle (10) and Alyssa (8).

That is unfortunate that things have gotten so bad between you. The kids will lose out on spending time with one another. I feel for you though. It is difficult getting together even though you are all relatively close to where you all live. I just know that from my experience, your parents will be disappointed that you guys aren't getting along. At least when around your parents you should at least try to be civil to one another. I know that you are and have been trying but it sounds like your brother needs a kick in the head and grow some balls.

I'm really trying to gbe over the being mad part. I really want to move on to the "I don't care it they're there or not" phase. He did send me a text msg on my birthday that I didn't get unitl today because my phone had been on the charger when it came in. Guess that was easier than taking the risk of actually talking to me in person....

The thing that bothers me is that when he texts me for something like that, it's the old Tom. The one I grew up with. It's like he's Jeckel and Freaking Hyde. I don't know what I'm going to do about it. I just know I can't be around his wife more than absolutely necessary.
