Viding update, SPN ep reaction and meta babbling

So yeah I totally fail at the week in a life meme. The day after I started it work started sucking like a huge giant void of suck -- to the point that if it doesn't start getting better by the end of next week, I'm going to start looking for a new job. And so I've just been curling up and licking my wounds and rp'ing and all when I got home ( Read more... )

i loved ghostfacers from top to bottom - i think partly because it was just fun and silly and utterly devoid of the dean-goes-to-hell angst that's been all over this season, but partly because it had all this good stuff in it. it was funny and snarky and genuinely creepy and disturbing, and the supporting characters were kind of walking joke-targets but also very real and human, and i love outsider pov's of the boys in general. and the swearing will never get old. it was so perfect and fitting ( ... )

and while i was annoyed that they played his crush for laughs,

They did, but they played everything about the Ghostfacers for laughs. It wasn't like everything else about them was serious except for Corbett's crush. It was played pretty much at the same level of poking fun at, I think.

And yeah, they really need to learn that they don't really have to kill practically every character who appears in more than one ep (though hey, Harry and Ed managed to survive their second appearance, go them!). If for no other reason than it gets predictable.

I'm sorry work is so awful, hon.

Reading your comments on PC kerfuffling in SPN fandom, it makes me wonder how people will cope with the US Life on Mars remake, presuming it's as packed full of every type of P-un-C dialogue, plot and characterisation as the original.

It could be worse, but it's definitely bad enough for me right now. Oh well. It'll either get better or I'll go find another job.

I don't know. They might make allowances for the time being shown. I still am boggling slightly at the whole thing about SPN, given the genre it's in and some of the things picked up on as being proof that it's misogynistic. (one thing being that Dean kept calling Ruby "bitch" in ep 3.09. Because y'know it's not like he's been calling entities he considers bad bitch since the pilot. Except, oh wait, he has. And they even have Ruby call him on it! But still apparently Dean using the b word is unacceptable or something.)

Re: SPN: Word. Totally.

Hope the job situation straightens itself out very quickly, whether at your current place or someplace new.

The episode was pretty much awesome. And yeah, they killed the gay intern, but then he got to save the day with the awesomeness of gay love. That's pretty sweet.

Gay love pierces the veil of death to save the day.

I mean, really. Where's the bad in that? :D

Hi! I just gonna go right to the point.
When r u planning to write a sequel of "Step Into The Light"? I love it! I think the idea is fresh and it's genius! Definitely deserves a sequel.
Sorry I said it in here. I don't know where else to contact you.
