The ultimate irony for me (and I have no idea why I'm telling you in particular except you mentioned unfriending Gloss and I jus thought of it) is that I unfriended Gloss about 6 months after being on LJ (I think), first person I ever defriended, not for being who she's revealed herself to be, but because I just plain found her boring! Which might possibly the greatest annoyance to her ever!

Well, it makes me laugh anyway!

I used to describe her as "pretentious" and "overly wordy" before I discovered that the correct description was "batshit insane" although that doesn't make the first two descriptors invalid.

And yes, it probably would be the most annoying to her that people think she's boring.

Apropos of nothing, I was tooling around my flist and watched several of your vids the other day. They're lovely, hon. I don't know why I don't watch more - I guess I got out of the habit when I was running out of memory.

I've been avoiding gloss since the last kerfluffle last year; this just reminded me to clean up my flist.

Yeah watching (and keeping) vids is more of a memory sucking hobby than fic is. That was a big reason why I broke down finally and got an external hd -- so I have space to save the good vids (and to save the footage I need to make my own vids.)

It's a long and convoluted tale. I'm trying to think of if there was anything even remotely similar that happened in TS or TPM fandoms that I can use as a comparison and...nope, can't think of this level of batshit malice.

A place that might give you at least an idea/taste of this is this post and its comments last year, which ended up being sort of a "roll call of those who have been Glossed."

Generally though, Glossing has shown to have a pattern of turning on her friends and deliberately trying to tear them down/destroy them/make their lives miserable. Beyond fandom even -- she's falsely accused people of doing some pretty heinous things like stalking her for... pretty much no reason at all.

Yeah, I've been getting a serious case of deja vu the last couple of days.

It's pretty much a replay of situations that have happened in the past; it's just that a number of people have reached their limit this time and, to be cliched, are just not going to take it any more.

I'm positive from the outside it looks like a lot of people majorly overreacting because they don't know just how much has happened before.

I'm really hoping that this will be the last of it, although that was what I was hoping last year too and well, here we are.
