As someone who writes for a living online, I was pretty pleased to hear people get riled up about the whole Cooks Source incident. Pleased, and also a little bit baffled

Defending copyright is an expensive prospect, but if you link the site that's doing it, I will go after them with the same fury I spent on Cooks Source. You should not be a victim, and I am angry!

I suspect it's raised people's consciousness a bit. And it might make people think twice before doing it. It won't stop it, of course, but it might put some people off.

I hope so. But people are notoriously bad about applying other's bad deeds toward their own actions.
