Honestly it's been a while since I've read this (that's not a knock on you, hon! i know how elusive the muse can be and how the writer's version of cock-blocking real life is) so I kind of need to re-read it (I was like *reading...blink..."dreamscapes? Lucifer's dead? Whhaaaa?*) it.

Anyway. As far as everything else? This is the recipe for yumminess for me. Hurt!tired! but triumphant!Sammy and protective!possessive!Gabe! *HUGS THEM* I LOVE it when Gabriel stands up to Dean for Sam. Because while Dean doesn't seem to have a problem breaking Sam's heart sometimes, Sam wouldn't dare fight back because he's too self-flagellant.

So. In short. Bitchy!Dean, BAMF!"RAWR!!"!Gabriel, hurt!Sammy, blue-eyed!Castiel, and then bigbrother!Dean all = LOVE!!

And the tender little touches Gabriel gave Sam? *passes out* Sooooo amazing! :D

It's been awhile since I've read it, too, LOL.

I've had this part written for longer than I care to think about, but it took forever to realize I couldn't write anymore because I liked how this ended. Then my beta's life got really busy so I had to wait to get it back.

But I'm so glad you liked it! Gabriel's little touches to Sam was something I refused to get rid of when I was having trouble with the chapter.

Originally it turned out a lot more angsty with Dean being a jerk, then I realized 'Dude, no more apocalypse. Dean's entitled to freak out but, come on. No more Lucifer!' so I cut back on that. I kept in the part with Gabriel defending Sam, though, because it's one of my favorite parts of the story and I couldn't let it go.

I like to think that Dean didn't realize quite how badly his words would affect Sam which is why Gabriel needed to step in and make him think before he spoke. *nodnod

This was everything worth waiting for! Loved it all! From the Sammy angst to the BAMF!Gabriel and mostly understanding Dean.

I will admit to just re-reading the entire thing and as one whole piece this is just a complete win. Like for cereal win. Now if only this was the way they really fixed everything then I would die a happy girl. A very very happy girl. *grins*

Loved this so much and you rock hard core, like AC/DC!

I saw this and nearly squealed with delight! This was a really great ending to a really great fic. I loved protective!Gabriel and Sam's renewed strength. All of the little moments that really go a long way as far as defining Sam and Gabriel's relationship truly made this fic for me. You have a real way with words. Definitely going to be a fic I'll always remember.
