I spent all day finishing up taking apart the bookshelf in our living room. Had to vacuum all the books, stack them in the dining room, move the planks we've been using as shelves, take the cinderblocks outside, and vacuum the planks and the wall and the last bit of carpet. It's called particle board, and is proof that the devil exists. I handled it by getting a turkey baster and soaking the areas around the nails with water, waiting for a minute or so, then yanking the nails up so you can lift the entire sheet up instead of little fragments.

Can you tell that I've dealt with it before? XD

This particle board is over twenty years old. Probably closer to thirty or forty. The section that we did yesterday was the only strip that wasn't rotten looking, which surprised me.

I helped when mom and dad tore out most of the carpet in their room after we lost our last husky, but I'd never run across any tricks like that. :x

*hugs* That's okay, I bought my weekend badge back in December when it was still $45, so it's not that big a loss. I'll just probably go lurk in the cosplay garden and take ridiculous amounts of photos as usual. XD
