Writing problems continued

This is one way to get content. Take a comment and put it in a journal entry. Still, I think this is important. In answering skitten, I was able to elucidate more about my writing problems that I mentioned.My problem seems to be more that when I write, I have a feel for how the words should flow out and it makes my writing smoother and more euphonious ( Read more... )

AWWWWWWWWWW Don't feel bad, I have them too, that's why I don't do long posts, because I don't know how to type out my words to make any sense out of them. I get straight to the point and say good bye. We'll get there eventually though. If you need to, write them down on paper, proof read them as many times as you think is neccessary and then post them. Someone told me that when in doubt, just write. Sometimes it's like air turbulance--dramatic but meaningless--and you've only to ride it out.

A writing exercise that might help: try writing a page of stream of consciousness. Don't even try to plan ahead. Make one page long run on sentence that just keeps going and going, each thought flowing into the next. Start by writing about something you wouldn't ordinarily write about...say...your hat. I bet you could write several pages just about your hat and by following wherever the thoughts and memories it brings up takes you
