Yesterday I spent the whole day doing whatever Jake wanted (with some direction and limitations). Since I had spent all of Thursday working on an epic Ruggle and the boys were good at entertaining themselves I said that we'd have a day focusing on them

A coworker has a Fitbit and loves it!

I don't even want to venture outside in this weather. Too hot and muggy. Ugh.

Oh, and I loved the turtle - awesome job with all those pieces!

I love my Fitbit. Jason really wants one so I'll probably get him one for Christmas or our anniversary or some such.

It was overcast and raining off an on all week but I dutifully walked while Jake was in swim class. I was one big sweat ball when I was done, but I did feel better for having done it. I'm glad it's dried up and sunny in time for the weekend. If I didn't go outside when it was hot and muggy, I'd be indoors more than half the year. Living in the South = Living in a Frog Pond March - October.

Thanks! I'm not a quilter (as I look guiltily in the direction of my unfinished wedding quilt) but it wasn't as hard as I imagined it would be. Just lots of time and thread. Jason said I should enter it into a quilt show. Then he told me he wants a duck with individual pieced feathers. To which I responded he'd have to pay me for that. LOL

I put my (second) Fitbit through the washing machine yesterday. *headdesk* It's resting in a jar of rice at the moment--hopefully it will recover.

I just placed an order for the wristband, though--6 week wait. Hopefully I will do better with not losing or washing that one!

I think that one is water resistant! They say you can shower with it.

Thanks! I'm starting to feel really good, you know? This morning's walk around the park while Jake was in swim class was noticeably easier. I didn't start really huffing until I got to the uphill portion. It feels really good!
