Very cute!

I have to start thinking about what do to for Amelia's 5th birthday party. I have no idea where to go in the area and at the same time, we are going to be in the middle of construction (probably) in my house so I can't have a party here.

Besides which, her class has 30 odd kids and I don't know how to pick and choose which of them to invite.

I have to admit, I'm quite dreading the birthday planning

I'm not looking forward to Jake's 5th, for no other reason than the guest list. His actual birthday falls outside the school year (just) but we've always had a party for him here. I can't invite the whole class, we just don't have room for that many people (or the money to pay for that many people at an outside place). Last year I told him he could invite 5 friends (1 for each year, plus 1). I might go that way again this year.

That's a good idea. I might end up doing something like that.

I need to call the local fire stations and see if they do scheduled tours. Amelia has been saying for a while that she wants to be a firefighter when she grows up. If they do scheduled tours then I might see if I can arrange it to be part of a birthday party, and maybe go to a local pizza place after.

Well, I meant the arrangement of ribbons flying away, but I suppose Erik is adorable too ;-P I do love his expression in the second one, it's just so full of delight.
