I have been re evaluating my Burlesque name lately and I am not sure if I like it. I was thinking of changing it and if i do it has to be soon as I have had one show and will behaving another in 2 weeks ( Read more... )

it is all of those, I am worried 1- it is too close to Ditta Von Tease and 2- I was "warned" there are alot of Bunnys there however I have only met one.

Why should it matter what others say? It's YOUR name, not theirs.

Seriously...what is the reasoning they claim your name is no good? As you stated, the rhyme and roll is good. Are they jealous because it sounds better than some common name they've pieced together?

I like both names. BUT, I like Lana GottaLotta, because it IS different. PLUS not using the other keeps it more away from that other spectacle known as BL. =)

I care Marc because these people have been in the scene alot more then i have and i appreciate their impute because they know more then i do. I am still a novice and maybe i DID pick a bad name.

I was going by Bunny long before BL actually....

Ok.That gives it more weight then. I was thinking it was just other people you know, who aren't in the scene. I dunno. Still though...why let them dictate it for you?
The name is NOT bad at all. It is catchy, unique and not easily confused with any others. I mean how many Bunnies or Kittens, Phoenix', and the likes are out there? Lots. I'm sure somehwere out there someone has a Lana or Lola or Gotta(whatever) but not in this area. It gets the attention. A cut above the rest. =)

I know Bunny was yours long before you were associated with BL. Unfortunately that names sullies it a little, in my mind. AND if you go by something else, it may keep it from grabbing the attention of those you want nothing else to do with from there, anymore. =) Just a thought.

Let me get the smart ass reply out of the way first: "What's wrong with Hannah Montana?" :-)

I like both names with a little preference for Bunny Von Tail. The only downside to that one is that I know of two other Bunnys in the SF burlesque scene: Bunny Pistol and Bunny Bardot. It might not distinguish you enough on name alone at first.

That said, unless the name is truly sucktastic, people will remember you for what you do on stage and how you treat them far more than they will for your Nom de Pastie.
