Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Ryan woke up with a jolt when he felt a warm body on top of his.
"Eric" He whispered. Carefully extracting himself from the other man and picking up his clothes, he went to shower. Ryan made coffee after he got out and sat down to wait.
Eric woke up to an empty bed and the smell of coffee. He pulled on sweats as he made his way out of the bedroom and into the kithen. Eric stopped short when he saw Ryan at his sink doing the dishes. He watched, and as Ryan finished he walked up behind him slipping arms around his waist.
"What is this?" Ryan asked, gripping the counter in front of him.
"I don't know." Eric answered honestly.
"I have Jay."
"From what I've heard he's a great kid."
"And there's the crazy ex. The one that left only two weeks ago."
"I kind of remember that."
"I-" Ryan choked before taking a deep breath, "I stopped taking the pill when I ran out. Right before Jesse left." Ryan whispered into the kitchen, letting the fact hang there.
"I really like you. Have since I saw you. Don't know why, just do. So, we wait and see."
"You say that like it's the simplest thing on the planet."
"It is."
"Because it has to be."
Eric turned Ryan around to face him. "No. Because it is, believe me. And honey, if you want to talk about psycho exes... Well, we just won't go there right now. Later, but not now. I need to shower and then we should talk more." He said, kissing Ryan on the forehead before departing for the bathroom.
"Hey Ryan?" Eric waited for him to look up. "I like seeing you smile."
And Ryan couldn't help but smile as the door shut. Although his mind kept going on about how odd the whole situation was, he couldn't help but feel more than he probably should for Eric. The funny little flutter across his heart and the way his brain decided to take a holiday every time Eric looked at him, or touched him. And if he was truely honest with himself he would admit that, yes, it had all started when he saw Eric's ass for the first time, a year ago. And to realize that no one made him feel the way a stranger did during their first meeting, was painful to admit.
So lost in his own thoughts, Ryan didn't hear the two women enter the room until one of them grabbed his shoulder. With his body acting on instinct, he spun around and had the younger woman on the ground before anyone had time to make noise.
"Who the hell are you." The tiny woman under him asked.
"I'm Ryan. Who are you?" Although with her looks, he had pretty much figured it out.
"I'm-"
"Marisol? Ryan?" A very confused looking Eric was standing in the doorway behind the older woman.
Ryan got off the woman under him and carefully pulled her to her feet. "I'm sorry. You just surprised me." He said looking down and turning red. "We'll talk later." Ryan practically ran out the front door and down the street. He made it three blocks before collapsing at a bus stop.
"How did my life get like this so fast?" He asked himself, digging for bus fare.
She had seen the women enter the house and the young Wolfe come running out about five minutes after.
"They should have come last night." She thought, "Before they screwed each other." She decided to follow Ryan. "Maybe he'll do something." She muttered.
"We ran into Hank earlier. He told us all about 'Ryan', Eric."
"Mama, I just met Ryan. We just got together. There is nothing to tell."
Eric knew his mother could be a formidible force when you lied to her, but that was only if you were caught. Eric was caught, and he knew it as soon as the words left his mouth.
"Don't lie to me. Don't you ever lie to me. You cheated on Hank with that little boy." She threw the accusations at him.
"I never cheated on anyone. And-"
"It doesn't matter if it's just a dream. It's still cheating. And then to actually do it." She hissed, effectivly cutting him off. "We're going."
He watched as his mother and sister walked out the door.
"She hissed at me." Was all he said into the still room.
Ryan was greeted with half the furniture gone and a note that told him Lee and Jake had taken Jay out when he got home. With the house empty Ryan let himself go, and cleaned like a mad man as memories swampped his mind.
"I don't want to do this anymore." Jesse said when Ryan walked through the door. "It's too much. There's never any time for us. It's all about him."
"That's not true. There's plenty of time for us." Ryan said, his anger starting to build.
"I'm not doing this anymore." Jesse turned his back as he said it.
"Stupid selfish prick." Ryan muttered, cutting off the train of thought. But as he moved from the living room to the kitchen, his mind suddenly turned to a very different man. Although the memory was broken, it was still there.
Eric saw the bruises and started kissing them lightly.
"Feel better?" He whispered looking into Ryan's eyes.
"Yes." Was all Ryan was able to get out before his mouth was covered again.
When they broke apart for air, Eric ran his tongue down Ryan's chest. Ryan bit into Eric's shoulder when he moved back up to his neck.
Eric was inside of him and they were moving together. And the only thing Ryan could think was, "This is right."
He was watching Eric cum with him, crying out his name as Ryan answered back.
Ryan was pulled from his memories by the doorbell. He opened it to see Eric.
"Marry me?" Eric seemd shocked at his own words, but he knew it was right.
"Sure, okay." Was all Ryan said.
