Long time...

Maybe I should get back into the habit of keeping a journal. As it is, I have stuff I really want to write down but don't really get the incentive to do right at that moment. Not sure how much I'll be sharing with friends or the world, either, as I want to avoid unnecessary drama when people "find out" what has been written about them (yay furries ( Read more... )

It really bugs me that I and so many others seem to be losing the urge to keep a journal. The older the posts get, the more I value them-I think it's a tremendous resource to be able to go back ten years and think, "hey, wow, I was doing and thinking that...".

For one thing, it shows me that I've changed and grown up less than I thought. :)

I know I haven't changed much - and most of my current life is rather uneventful. So much waiting - so I don't even know if it's going to be interesting to read back later ;P

I had it under control, taking some antihistamines now and then when sensing the levels got up fairly high, just to prevent a trigger. But then when visiting a friend, the municipality decided to whip out the people with leaf blowers on a dry day and stir up every grain of pollen and dust that had been accumulating on the hard ground, all at once. Note that there were no leaves to blow, just dirt to clean -- the wrong tool for the job as all it does is displace the crap, not get rid of it.
My overzealous immune system struck back with a vengeance. And since I was out of the house, unexpectedly long visit, I had no antihistamines with me to prevent a sudden and full onset of going deep in the red. So I've been dealing with hayfever-alike symptoms for a few weeks now, but I'll weather it.
